Intelligence as a Service

The way in which intelligence is harvested and analysed is dependent on the evolution of work done by experts in private intelligence.

2023 will see the development of new innovations around outsourcing and intelligence analysis, with a focus on different types of intelligence, such as CSINT, IMINT, HUMINT, SIGINT, TECHINT, OSINT, GEOINT, and CI.

This variety allows intelligence experts to gather and analyse information from a greater range of sources, both traditional and non-traditional.

CSINT for example focuses on intelligence related to cyber security threats, while HUMINT involves intelligence directly from human sources. The volume of data available is growing, and therefore the science of intelligence gathering becomes more complex. Intelligence experts are therefore required to sift through a vast amount of data effectively, to identify relevant, accurate and reliable intelligence.

Additionally, private intelligence experts must also navigate numerous ethical and legal considerations regarding the use of intelligence - such as privacy, confidentiality, data protection, and the use of force.

The evolution of private intelligence is continuous, and shapes and reshapes the field of intelligence gathering and analysis.

We expect that beyond 2023 creative innovations in outsourcing intelligence will have developed further to keep up with dynamic shifts in geopolitics. This will only fuel the demand for timely and accurate intelligence.
